Publish date: 2024-07-22

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — On Tuesday, the Recording Academy announced the nominations for the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, with Beyoncé leading the charge with nine picks.

Beyoncé picked up nominations for Best Album, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music film among others.

Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Roddy Rich each picked up six nominations each with Dua Lipa and Roddy both in the running for Record of the Year, and Taylor Swift in contention for Song of the Year.

Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, and Ashley McBride, Brandy Clark, and Ingrid Andress all have nominations for Best Country Album, while D Smoke, Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist, Jay Electronica, Nas, and Royce Da 5’9″ were each nominated for Best Rap Album.

The Recording Academy also announced that “The Daily Show’s” Trevor Noah is lined up to host the event when it takes place at the end of January.

After years of criticism, the Grammys implemented several changes this year with an eye towards making the awards and selection process more inclusive. The changes included making its rules and guidelines public for the first time, increasing its voting membership to 2,3000 and changing the names of several categories.

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards will take place on January 31st at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
