Victoria Beckham thought Meghan Markles wedding gown was absolutely beautiful
Even after all of these days have passed, I still can’t get over how miserable Victoria Beckham looked at the royal wedding. She looked like she had just gotten the worst news of her life just before she got out of the car. She looked like she and David had just gotten into some huge fight and she was trying not to cry. Well, here’s one theory about Posh’s “sourpuss” expression: the night before the wedding, David had been at the Soho Farmhouse and he ended up taking a selfie with an attractive brunette woman named Kara. Kara posted the photo to Instagram, but she ended up deleting it (you can see it here). I mean, does it follow that David and Kara snogged or whathaveyou? No. But I would be interested in knowing if Posh even knew where David was and what he was doing the night before they turned up at the wedding. And maybe that not-knowing is why she looked so miserable.
Meanwhile, Victoria gave an interview to the Evening Standard where she talked about what she thought about the royal wedding and more. Some highlights:
She loved the wedding: “It was such a beautiful, incredible wedding. It was just the best day. They looked so happy and everybody was just so happy for them. Meghan seems like a genuinely lovely woman who really loves him. It felt very real, very honest.”
On Meghan’s Givenchy wedding gown: “I thought she looked absolutely beautiful. It really suited her. I thought it was perfect for her. And Harry looked great.”
She wore her own design to the wedding: “I love a bit of navy. The dress is one of my favorites. It isn’t in store until November, but we’ve had so many inquiries about it that I’m seeing whether I can bring it forward.”
I was too busy looking at Posh’s misery-face that I barely even looked at her dress. It actually wasn’t bad, and I honestly like navy too. I would much prefer to see women wear navy to a wedding than “primrose yellow” or whatever. And I like that Victoria has too much class to insult Meghan’s wedding gown choice, and I felt the same way: was the Givenchy what I would have chosen for Meg? No. But I respect her choice and I thought she looked beautiful and happy.
