Lucy Hale Heres How She Feels About The Pretty Little Liars Reboot!

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is the reboot of the original Freeform series and fans haven’t been very happy about it. However, despite the backlash from the public, Lucy Hale made it clear that she is rather supportive of the reboot!

As you probably know, the actress portrayed Aria Montgomery on the popular, long running series and she had no shade to throw at the upcoming Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin reboot.

The new installment follows a new cast and new characters, despite being set in the same universe as the original.

As for why so many fans have been so upset, it is because the show will not have the original creator I. Marlene King return.

This came in addition to her own Pretty Little Liars, titled The Perfectionists, getting cancelled after only one season

At the same time, others are upset because they think the show’s return in any form is a bit too soon considering the fact that it ended in 2017.

Lucy Hale chatted with Us Weekly and she shared her own opinion of the reboot, saying that ‘I sincerely wish everyone the best and I hope it’s a huge success. Some people get angry about reboots, but I think it is important to be supportive of any up-and-coming artists. I am curious to see what they do with it!’

Even though she will not appear in the reboot, Lucy is still somehow connected to it in a way!

Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who is also responsible with the spin-off titled Katy Keene, in which Lucy starred, is also the upcoming PLL reboot’s executive producer, which will be written by Chilling Adventures of Sabrina producer Lindsay Bring!

Roberto and Lindsay  previously assured fans via Variety that ‘We’re such huge fans of what I. Marlene King and her iconic cast have created, we knew we had to treat the original series as #CANON and do something different. So we are leaning into the suspense and the horror in this reboot, which hopefully will honor what fans loved about the hit series, while weaving in some new, unexpected elements.’
